Features
Everything a team needs, and nothing it doesn't.
TeamCaddy is built around one recurring moment — when is it, where is it, who is coming. Every feature below either answers that question or gets out of the way.
Set the season once, then change it as often as reality does.
Training on the same evening every week, a fixture list from the league, a tournament that eats a Sunday. Add them once and edit them the moment they move.
- Repeating events for training, with per-week exceptions for the days the hall is booked.
- Event types — game, training, scrimmage, tournament, meeting, social — each with its own colour, so a month reads at a glance.
- Arrival time separate from kick-off, because the two are never the same and one of them is what parents actually need.
- Time to be confirmed is a real state, not a made-up time you have to correct later.
- Cancel with a reason. The event stays visible and struck through, so nobody drives to a pitch that was called off.
Going, maybe, out. Three answers, one tap, no thread.
The most-tapped control in the product, so it gets the most attention. Three states only — a fourth would just be another way of saying maybe.
- Answer from the notification without opening anything, or from a link in an email or text with no account at all.
- Live headcount on every event, so you know on Wednesday whether you're short.
- Who hasn't answered, as a list you can message in one action rather than a spreadsheet you compare by eye.
- A note with the answer. "Leaving early for a wedding" is information a coach can plan around.
- Availability history on the Team plan, so selection conversations start from facts instead of impressions.
Colour is never the only signal: every attendance state carries a glyph too, and the three colours are chosen to stay apart in lightness as well as hue.
Say it once, to exactly the people it concerns.
The group chat isn't the problem. Sending everything to everybody is.
- Team chat for the ordinary back and forth, quiet overnight by default.
- Announcements that stay pinned to the top of the team's screen until they're read, with a count of who has seen them.
- Send to a subset — everyone going, everyone who hasn't replied, just the coaches, just this weekend's squad.
- Adults only. Messaging is between the adults linked to the team. Children don't get a chat account.
The details you need at the side of a pitch, not in a filing cabinet.
- Jersey number and position per player, set in the numeral face so a squad list reads like a team sheet.
- Several adults per player, each with their own login. Separated parents, grandparents, the childminder who does Tuesdays.
- Two emergency contacts and medical notes, visible to the coaches of that team and to nobody else.
- Invite by link. A parent is in within about thirty seconds and doesn't have to be found in a directory first.
It should arrive where you already look.
- Calendar subscription per parent, covering every team their children play for. Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook.
- Push notifications for changes, cancellations and the reminder the night before.
- Email and text for the parents who never install anything, with the RSVP buttons inside the message.
- Quiet hours. A 10pm pitch change still goes out; a chat message about orange slices waits until morning.
Four teams, two children, one Saturday.
Most products treat a parent as a member of one team who can switch to another. That's the wrong shape. A parent is a person with a week, and the week has other people's fixtures in it.
- One merged week across every team, club and sport, with each child colour-coded.
- Clashes flagged when two children are due in two places within the same hour.
- Answer for both children from the same screen, in the same two taps.
A shared album that stays inside the team.
- Private by default, visible only to the adults linked to that team.
- A per-child opt out that holds. Opt a child out and photos tagged with them are hidden from the album everywhere.
- No public sharing surface. There is no "share to the world" button to press by accident.
What TeamCaddy doesn't do yet.
Worth knowing before you move a club across. If one of these is essential to you this season, another product is the right answer today.
- Per-player statistics and live scorekeeping. We record the final score and the result, and stop there.
- Video and highlights. Photos only.
- Payments, invoicing and registration are in build for the Club and League tiers. They are not available today — collect fees where you collect them now and import the roster.
- Club tools are early access. The club dashboard, grounds and division messaging are in build. What's live and what isn't.
