Is the free plan actually free, or a trial?
Actually free. One team with up to 15 players gets the whole product, with no card
required and no clock running. If your squad grows past 15 you'll need the Team
plan, and we'll tell you before that happens rather than locking you out.
Do parents have to pay, or install anything?
No and no. Parents are free on every plan. They can use the app if they want push
notifications, but the invite link works in a browser, and RSVP links in email and
text messages work without an account at all.
Can I bring a team over from TeamSnap?
Yes, for the parts that matter: roster, contacts and the schedule. Export the CSV
from TeamSnap and we'll map the columns. Historic statistics and payment records
don't come across — we don't have anywhere to put them.
What happens when the pitch changes an hour before kick-off?
Edit the fixture and choose who to tell. Everyone gets a push notification, the
subscribed calendars update, and anyone who'd said they were going gets flagged so
you can see who has actually seen the change.
Do you show ads or sell data?
No. There are no ads anywhere in TeamCaddy on any plan, we don't sell or share
personal data, and we don't run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on
children's accounts. We make money from team and club subscriptions only.
How do you handle children's data?
A player's profile is visible to their own team's coaches and to the adults linked
to that player, and to nobody else. Parents can see and delete what's held about
their child. The detail is in the
children's data section of the privacy policy.
Which sports does it work for?
Any sport where a group of children meets at a time and a place: football, hockey,
netball, basketball, baseball, rugby, swimming clubs. We use the words "fixture" and
"training" but you can rename event types to whatever your sport calls them.
Two parents share custody. Can they both get the schedule?
Yes. A player can have any number of linked adults, each with their own login,
notification settings and calendar feed. Either can RSVP, and the card shows who
answered so the other one isn't left guessing.
